May 11th was a beautiful day for the 4th year
of the Aphasia Center's participation in the Human Race. More
than 60 individuals walked, rolled, or ran the race route at the
Lafayette reservoir. The best news was that $8,000 was raised
to support program services at the Aphasia Center of California--an
all time Aphasia Center record!!
Three Aphasia Center members raised more than
$1,000 each for the ACC: Jim Santanna, Philip Tien, and George
Yee! And Judi Briano received donations from more than 40 different
people! A drawing for restaurant and merchant gift certificates
was held for those participants who had raised at least $150 for
the Aphasia Center.
