Lynette graciously hosted this year's Christmas party. She gathered everyone together to announce dinner was about to be served and then she asked if anyone had anything to say. I brought the ring to the party, hoping the right opportunity would present itself. Instantly I knew this was the moment, and to the best of my recollection here is what I said: "yes! I have a few words. Now that everyone is here and I have everyone's attention I would like to ask you Soledad- will you marry me?" Big grins- deer in the headlights look, I reach in my pocket and showed her the ring. "Soledad, you have made me so happy and I want us to have a lifetime of happiness together. Mi Amor, will you marry me??" Big pause, and I think my shoes flew off my feet before Soledad replied "YES!".
