In order to address some security issues and to provide functionality needed by a new package, PHP and all of its extensions have been upgraded to version 4.4.8. There was an initial brief outage of PHP web pages due to a problem with the web server configuration, but this has been corrected and at this time we are not aware if any other problems related to the upgrade.
