- Select Tools > Account Settings
- Enter your name and Email Address
- Set Incoming Server to mail.employees.org
- Set Incoming User Name to your userid
- Set Account Name to whatever you want
- Select "Server Settings" from the account you just created
- Make sure "SSL" is checked. We require SSL for all POP3 and IMAP connections.
- Make sure "Use secure authentication" is NOT checked. We do not support CRAM-MD5 authentication.
- Only for IMAP:
- Click "Advanced"
- Set IMAP server directory to "Mail". This will be the directory under your home directory where IMAP folders are stored
- (Optional) To add SMTP server, click "Outoing Server (SMTP)"
- Click "Advanced" and then Click "Add..." to get the "SMTP Server" dialog box
- Set "Server Name" to mail.employees.org
- Click checkbox "User name and password"
- Set User Name
- click either "TLS" or "SSL"
- if clicked "SSL", make sure the Port is "465". If clicked "TLS" then Port can be "587", "25", or "1025". Try them in the given order.
- Click "OK" to exit "SMTP Server" dialog
- Click "OK to exit "Advanced Outoing Server (SMTP) Settings"
- Select the "Server Settings" again.
- Click the "Advanced..." button.
- Select the SMTP tab.
- In the drop-down box, select the mail.employees.org entry we just created.
- Click OK to exit "Advanced Account Settings".
- Click OK to exit "Account Settings"
