A booklet filled with information on Amtrak's accessible services, such as sleeping accommodations and oxygen transport. For a free copy, call (800) 872-7245.

A guidebook that offers accessibility information on more than 30 of America's top destinations.

"Emerging Horizons"

AAA's "The Disabled Driver's Mobility Guide"

A guide for drivers and travelers with disabilities that includes information on adaptive equipment, driver training, travel information services, accessible hotels, and other related services. Call for your copy at the Traffic Safety Department (800) 637-2122.

"Open World"

A quarterly magazine published by the Society for the Advancement of Travelers with Handicaps that features domestic and international travel stories, travel tips, legislative news, and personal stories. A one-year subscription costs $18. Call (212) 447-7284.

Services:

Flying Wheels Travel

A travel agency that has been planning independent vacation, including cruises, for the disabled for 30 years. Some escorted group vacations are available as well. (800) 535-6790.

Access Tours

Escorted group tours that provide learning adventures at a relaxed pace in small groups of eight or ten. The service is known for its trips to national parks and other wilderness sites in the West. (800) 929-4811.
