Tunnel Trail:

Well, with all Scott's talk I just had to go check out the infamous Tunnel Trail in Santa Barbara. I'm glad I did it - ONCE.

The 11 mile downhill isn’t as bad as it sounds, but it's tough, damn tough. The top third of the trail is super-technical, super-rocky (and beautiful I might add). Full-suspension is highly recommended. Scott let me use his FS for some of the trail, but still, I walked quite a few sections - my hat's off to all those that can clean this baby.

The trail gradually becomes less gnarly the more you descend, and I was happy to finally get a little rhythm going near the bottom. You have to check this out just for the experience, but to be honest, there are better, more  enjoyable trails to be had.

Ciao, ahb.
