My name is Animesh Patcha and I am currently working as a Software Engineer with Cisco Systems in San Jose, CA. Prior to joining Cisco Systems, I did two brief stints with Hughes Network Systems in Germantown, MD and Zensar Technologies in Pune, India.

From 2002 to 2006, I was a doctoral student in the Laboratory for Advanced Research in Information Assurance and Security in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University from where I received my Ph.D. in July 2006.

In May 2002, I received my Masters degree in Computer Engineering (Networking and Telecommunications) from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago and my B.E. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra Ranchi, India in 1998.
