Reception
This page has pictures that were taken at the reception at the Mandalay Bay Resort. We held the reception in our suite. The catering (food and cake) was handled by the staff at the Mandalay Bay. This was then one area where everything went smoothly (luckily, there was something that worked right!).
Cake Cutting
Our wedding cake was made by the caterers at the Mandalay Bay Hotel. They said they could make anything we wanted, so we found a cake that looked good at King Soopers (a local supermarket) and faxed them the directions. The end result was just like the picture (but better-tasting).
The top cake is chocolate, the bottom is white. The cake has a fondant covering, with lilac icing.
The caterers forgot to hang the little glass heart in the cake topper - their only oversight.
This is probably the best picture of the cake.
The cake came on a nice serving table with fancy-folded napkins, nicely arrayed silverware, and tropical flowers.

Reception Food
The food was also handled by the hotel caterers.
