A bit bruised from the problems with Gryphon I still wanted a dog. On a random visit to the animal shelter I saw an odd-looking dog that kept drawing me back to look at her. Her name was Nakita. Her mother was a mix of basset, beagle, and corgi. Her father was a bullmastiff. She's the stumpiest dog you ever saw, mastiff body and apricot color, beagle nose on a mastiff forehead and neck, corgi legs. When you pet her she tips over on her back.

She didn't look at all like her name, so now her name is Daisy and she thinks she's moved to dog heaven.

Here are a couple of pictures taken the day we got her. She weighs something over 60 pounds. She's short but she's not small.
