Bob Stewart - Family

In May, 1990, the same day he graduated from junior college, Bob Jr. married Laura Snyder, a Michigan girl he met as a college freshman. They immediately moved to Amherst so he could work on a degree in Computer Science. Then, as he'd promised, they moved back to Michigan, so she could be closer to her family. They have a daughter Elena Christine, a son, Joshua William, and lost a daughter, Leah Rose, minutes after she was born.

I married Vivian Lee Hale of Sterling Heights, Michigan in 1967 after we met as freshmen at Rochester College in Rochester, Michigan. Three years later we had our first son, Robert LeRoy Jr., and 19 months later our other son, Benjamin Michael was born.

Both boys are grown and gone to their own nests. Now we have my wife's dog, Tootsie (Roll), a chocolate Labrador Retriever, born in 1993 and a half-mastf, Daisy. Tootsie's lived with us through my two Mastiffs, Misha and Gryphon.

Bob Jr. and Ben both attended Rochester College and both graduated with Associate Degrees. Each was valedictorian of his class, 1990 and 1992, respectively. Both graduated with Bachelor's degrees from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Massachusetts in 1994 with degrees in Computer Science and Business, respectively.

They promptly moved back to Michigan, where Bob is employed by edcor as a Systems Engineer and Ben by Delphi Automotive as an information systems designer. It wasn't entirely planned that way. It just worked out. Now we communicate fairly regularly via email, get together weekly for on-line computer games, and we visit Michigan often.

In August, 1990 Ben moved off to attend Rochester College. After graduation he moved to Texas for a semester at Abilene Christian University, then decided to come back to Massachusetts to go to University of Massachusetts to finish his degree in Business. Ben and Bob and Laura all helped each other with living expenses by sharing an apartment in Amherst then later in Michigan for a while. In June, 1996 Ben married Diana Ormachea, sister of a woman he worked with. They have a son, Timothy Michael, a daughter, Katelyn Michelle, and a yellow Labrador retriever, Hunter.
