two creatures considered fierce and noble. |
You can distinguish a griffin head from an eagle by the ears. Eagles don't have external
ears, griffins do. |
Some associate the dual-natured griffin with the dual nature of Jesus Christ, eagle
for the devine, lion for the human. |
