Bob Stewart - Why a Griffin?

Simple, I like griffins.

Griffins are quite big, with the fore part of an eagle and the hind part of a lion, two creatures considered fierce and noble.

You can distinguish a griffin head from an eagle by the ears. Eagles don't have external ears, griffins do.

Some associate the dual-natured griffin with the dual nature of Jesus Christ, eagle for the devine, lion for the human.
