Glamis is a unique area that has only one type of riding SAND DUNES. All types of vehicles can navigate, but a rule of thumb should be 'DON'T USE WHAT YOU GOT THERE IN'. This means if you drove your truck there it would be a good idea not to drive it in the dunes, if you break it or get it stuck you will have no transportation to drive the 15 miles to the nearest 'large' town to get parts. Although the Glamis store and Dirty Bob's do have some parts at premium prices.

Improper use of Off-Highway Vehicles damage resources on these public lands. Preserve your riding privilege. The OHV rider/driver must assume responsibility for proper vehicle use.

Sanitation facilities (outhouses with no water) are available at the Ranger Station at the beginning of Gecko Rd., at Gecko campground, and at the end of Gecko Rd. at Road runner Camp Ground.
