Kamook Staging area is located 6 miles north of Oakhurst just 3/4 of a mile off of the 41 (look for the 4000ft elevation sign on the right, the entrance will be on your left just a little ahead.). Lone Sequoia is 8 miles north of Oakhurst and 1 1/4 miles off of the 41.
Vegetation in the area is predominately mixed pine forest with some areas of dense brush.
Rainfall varies between 50 and 60 inches per year with the wettest season occurring generally between October and April.
