Stonyford (Fouts Springs) located in the Stonyford Ranger District of the Mendocino National Forest. The south end of the district offers over 90,000 acres of some of the most enjoyable and challenging trails found in the nation. (So the flyer says)

The riding area varies in elevation from 1700 feet (Fouts Springs) to almost 6000 feet (near Goat Mountian). Vegetation varies from low elevation chaparral to tall pine and fir forest in the high country.

 Riding conditions  Mountian logging roads, trails. Marked trails mostly, very good mountian riding.
 Altitude  1700ft to 6000ft.
 Riding Season  Open all year, will sometimes be closed due to wet conditions. (Optimal conditions: First fall rain until it gets dusty in the spring) NOTE: Seasonal Closures of some areas.
 Vehicles  Dirtbikes, ATV's.

The Stonyford District is not an OHV 'park'. OHV recreation is just one of the uses allowed. Please be considerate to the others that you may encounter in the forest.

Note seasonal closures on map in the north. Improper use of Off-Highway Vehicles damage resources on these public lands. Preserve your riding privilege. The OHV rider/driver must assume responcibility for proper vehicle use.

Sanitation facilities are available in the camping areas at Davis Flat/ Fouts Springs. They include: RV sanitation station, Potable water, sanitation facilities(toilets).
