Does Claycle Exist?J'ai un regret. Je ne regrette rien.
During his life on the Internet, Claycle has been involved in the creation of several online games and role-playing related mailing lists. He established the WFRP mailing list in 1990, along with the TORG mailing list. In fact, he wrote the Black Marble Wombat (BMW), the first publicly available mailing list software written in Perl, which predated Majordomo. He was the chief architect behind the infamous, FBI-investigated MUD, The Godnet, which was based on material from the TORG role-playing game. He also authored and ran for several years a Galactic Bloodshed-derived game, The Heuristic Astronomy Project, a real-time and turned-based multiplayer game of galactic conquest. In the last year, he won the Internet Unreal Design Contest (the level is available at PC Gamer); he continues to develop levels for Unreal and Half-life. Currently, Claycle works for Cisco Systems, Inc, as a Thoughtware Engineer. He plans to retire when he is 40 to the high desert of New Mexico...or Provence, France...and become an artist/author/game designer/chef/ski bum. He can be reached at claycle_@_cisco.com.
