A Leather Armor Interpretation

Leather Armor is rated as 0/1. If taken as a ratio, this can mean leather armor provides 1/2 point of armor, or protects provides 1 point for every 2 strikes against it (on average). Notice that the magic number in the rules is 3W, or less. On a 1D6 (the standard damage die), 1, 2, and 3Ws are rolled 1/2 of the time. This leads to a very simple and easy to implement interpretation for leather armor:

Leather Armor provides 1AP to the user when the attacker rolls a 1, 2, or 3W on his damage die. If the attack rolls a 4, 5, or 6, the armor provides no protection (Note: we are only looking at the actual rolled damage, before S and T modifications).
