This list is selected mainly from the Newbery Medal or Honors books which were written in Asian country setting or by Asian American authors. Some other classic titles such as the "Arabian Nights" was also included. The GATE population becomes increasingly diversified. You can find many Chinese, Indian, Korean students in the GATE. For those students who have Asian heritage or whoever just interested in Asian culture, this is a good place to start.
