western society has to offer. Some are suitable for 4th and 5th grade GATE
students such as Secret Garden, Black Beauty. Some are more challenging
so more suitable for middle and high school students. However, many ambitious
4th, 5th grade GATE students start to tackle these books. It is important
to encourage them to read these books so they have an exposure to the finest
