1. Run up Prospect to Beacon. Make a left on Beacon.
2. At the end of Beacon, make a right across the bridge (over train tracks) and then a left onto Somerville Ave.
3. Follow Somerville to Porter Sq. Make a right onto White (the street before the Star Market parking lot) and then a left onto Elm.
4. Follow Elm into Davis Sq.
5. Continue through Davis Sq. onto Holland. Run behind the T Station on your left and onto the paved bike path.
6. Follow the paved path across Mass Ave and through Russel Field. Continue following the path through Alewife T stop. (Look for the bike figure with MM )
7. Follow the paved path past Spy Pond to Swan Place.
8. Make a left onto Swan Place and then take the first right onto Swan Street.
9. Make a left onto Pleasant Street (major road) and a right onto Norfolk Rd. Follow Norfolk Rd. to Jason Street. Make a left onto Jason Street.
10. Follow Jason to Menotomy Rocks Park (on your right). Make a right into the part on a dirt pathway (which may or may not be labeled Hills Pond). (If you can't find the entrance, continue downn Jason to Spring Street, make a left onto Spring Street, then continue w/ #12)
11. Run to the exit at southwestern corner of park and turn left onto Spring Street.
12. At the first right, turn onto Arlmonte Street
13. Turn right onto Scituate Street.
14. Turn left onto Eastern Ave and continue to Park Tower.
15. At Park Circle, turn right and run down Ceder Street
16. Turn right onto Oakland Ave.
17. Turn right onto Appleton Street.
18. Turn right onto Harvard St. Continue to end of road and follow paved pathway up through wooded lot to Gray St.
19. Turn left onto Gray St., then right onto Grandview Rd.
20. At the top of the incline, turn left onto Spring Ave, an unmarked lane that eventually turns into High Haith.
21. At Ottawa Rd, turn left into Menotomy Rocks and follow the pathway to Hills Pond and Jason Street.
22. Turn left on Jason and follow it to Norfolk Rd.
23. From Norfolk, make a left onto Pleasant and then a right onto Swan St. Make a left on Swan Place and a right onto the bike path.
24. Follow the bike path to Davis Sq.
25. From Davis, take Elm back to White, cut across Star Market to Somerville Ave.
26. Make a right accross the bridge, follow the road as it turns left and becomes Beacon.
27. Follow Beacon to Prospect and return to Carberry's
1. From Carberry's, run up Magazine to the river.
2. Turn right at the river and follow it to Fresh Pond Parkway (past Larz Anderson Bridge/Harvard)
3. Go right, onto Fresh Pond Parkway
4. Follow Fresh Pond Parkway until the Fresh Pond Resevior. Cross the Parkway and enter the Fresh Pond Resevoir at the parking lot (near where the Sat. race starts, right where the Parkway starts to get ugly).
5. Follow the paved footpath around Fresh Pond (there is water near the parking lot and bathrooms in the golf club house).
6. Exit the Fresh Pond Resevoir at the parking lot where you entered.
7. Cross Fresh Pond Parkway and follow the parkway back towards the river.
8. From Fresh Pond Parkway, make a left onto Brattle, which turns into St. Craigie Street.
9. From St. Craigie Street, make a right onto Concord Ave.
10. Follow Concord, which merges with Garden, to the back of the Cambridge Common.
11. Make a right on Mass Ave and run through Harvard Sq. down JFK to the river.
12. Make a left at the river, and follow it back to Magazine street.
13. Make a left on Magazine and follow it back to Carberry's
1. From Prospect, run down River, left at river, right over BU bridge, Carlton street, cross Beacon Street.
2. After Carlton, take a right angled turn and enter the narrow park at the green line T stop. (cross tracks and turn right) all the waay to Jamaica Pond (major crossings -- Brookline & Route 9)
For 8 Mile run Turn back at start of pond, return on same route
Go around Jamaca Pond (water @ Boat House), return on same route
1. Go around pond to far end, leav pond, go aprox. 100 meters and turn right on pond street
2. Run up to Lars Anderson Park (turn right in the park at the Car Museum, up to the top of the hill) and over the hill
3. Right on Goddard ave, Perkins street to Jamaica Pond
4. Return home
1. From Carberry's, run away from Mass Ave to Somerville Ave.
2. Make a left on Somerville Ave, and follow it to Elm Street (it angles right behind a gas station and a Christy's).
3. Follow Elm into Davis Sq.
4. At Davis, make a right onto College Ave.
5. Follow College Ave through Powderhouse Circle and onto Warner Street (it is directly across the Circle from College Ave).
6. Warner turns into Harvard. Stay on Harvard, cross Medford Street and Mystic Ave. Run under the bridge. To your right, you will see the enterance to a paved trail with a bar across it and a "no motorized vehicle" sign. Run onto that pathway.
7. Follow the pathway around the resevoir. This will be about a three mile loop. The pathway finishes along the sidewalk on Mystic Valley Parkway (when you exit the trail, make a left onto the parkway).
8. Run along the Mystic Valley Parkway, past Meadow Glenn Mall, back under the bridge and across Mystic Ave. You will then be on Harvard Street.
9 Follow Harvard to Medford. Turn left onto Meford.
10. Follow Medford to Central. Make a right onto Central.
11. From Central, make a left onto Somerville Ave.
12. Follow Somerville Ave to Prospect. Make a left onto Prospect and follow it back to Carberry's.
1. Run up Prospect (away from Mass Ave.) and make a left on Somerville Ave.
2. From Somerville Ave, turn right onto Stone Ave.
3. Continue up through Prospect Hill Park using the stairs.
4. Turn left onto Munroe St and then right onto Walnut Street.
5. Turn left jonto Broadway and run over Winter Hill
6. At Powder Houe Sq., turn right onto College Ave.
7. Follow College Ave around Tufts (left on Broadway).
8. From Broadway, turn left onto Winthrop. Run over the hill and go left onto Powder House Blvd.
9. At Powderhouse Sq, turn right onto College Ave.
10. In Davis Sq., make a left onto Elm Street.
11. Follow Elm Street to Somerville Ave. Make a right onto Prospect and go back to Carberry's
