  • Object Designation(s): IC405
  • Exposure: 36x360 Seconds ISO 1600
  • Camera: Canon 350D (modded)
  • Scope: WO ZS110 @F7
  • Mount: Losmandy GM-8
  • Date: 2007-12-01
  • Comments: This was a cold windy night. The temperature was about 40F and the winds were gusting from the NE to 25MPH. This made guiding very interesting and I lost the guide star a few times. The transparency was very good but seeing was so-so. I did manage to get 36 exposures that did not have trailing stars. This is a beautiful object that I've wanted to image for a while now. I love the blue reflection nebulae in this one and how it contrasts with the HA areas. I knew it needed the modded camera and thats why I waited until now.
