The fastest MIPS R4400 presently available runs at 150 MHz and has been shown through application benchmarks and independent magazine reviews to provide the highest performance of commercially obtainable microprocessors for running Windows NT. A suite of benchmarks using 32-bit Windows NT applications and real-world data run on the fastest PCs commercially available show the MIPS R4400 running at 150 MHz has twice the performance of an Intel Pentium-based PC and 35 percent advantage over an Alpha-based system.
