Today's advanced graphics computing environments have an insatiable 
appetite for processing power and graphics performance. But 
historically, achieving those goals has involved trade-offs. 
Typically, the highest levels of graphics performance have only been 
attainable by resorting to special-purpose, proprietary computing 
platforms that address extremely narrow application parameters. Such

- Multiprocessing Support: two or four MIPS R4400 CPUs for balanced 
integer & floating point performance or One or two MIPS TFP 
processors for floating point intensive applications
- High-Capacity Memory: memory expandable from 64MB to 2GB with 
2-way interleaving
- Powerful I/0 System: one POWERchannel-2 I/O board delivers up to 
320MB/sec I/O bandwidth
- High-Bandwidth VME Bus: three VME slots with 5OMB/sec bus
- VTX or RealityEngine2 Graphics: a choice of graphics subsystems 
allows users to match performance and budget requirements
- SCSI-2 FAST/WIDE Disk Technology: up to 14GB internal disk 
storage, expandable to 680GB

MIPS TFP processors to provide up to 3.6 Gigaflops for peak 
supercomputing performance
- Massive Memory Capacity: memory expandable from 64MB to 16GB 
with 8-way interleaving
- Multiple I/O Subsystems: one to four POWERChannel-2 I/O boards
- Multiple VME Buses: three to 23 VME slots with 50MB/sec bandwidth 
on each bus
- VTX or RealityEngine2 Graphics: choice of VTX or RealityEngine2 
graphics with optional graphics expansion, up to three 
RealityEngine2 graphics subsystems in a single system
