IRIS Impressario
A Printing and Scanning Framework
IRIS Impressario increases your productivity by delivering fast raster
image processing and a full suite of interactive graphical tools for
efficient, intuitive printing and scanning. Impressario is an open printing
and scanning software framework that combines a user-friendly interface
with modular feature plug-ins such a device drivers, PostScript raster
image processors, and file formats. Impressario lets every SGI user across
your network easily submit print jobs, customize printing and scanning
options, and monitor the status of their devices in real time.
Impressario consists of two products.
The Impressario Server product provides support for
printers and scanners directly connected to a Silicon Graphics workstation.
The Impressario Developer's Kit is for printer
and scanner device driver developers and
for software developers who need to scan and print from their applications.
