Hidden Wonders of Korea

Korean works of art are remarkable for their detail, and the techniques used in paintings, metalwork, wood carving and sculpture, often exceed what we are capable of today, even with the aid of modern tools. In this talk, we will examine four of Korea's greatest artworks in these four areas, and watch modern craftsmen attempting to recreate the beauty of Ancient Koryo. Finally, we will take a brief look at how the spirit of Korea's artists has influenced modern industries in Korea. The talk will be accompanied by traditional Korean refreshments, and free literature about the artworks is also available.
