Classic Cars

Once again, some wonderful classic cars are expected to be on show at Highnam Court Spring Fair 2010. Dating back to 1925 and featuring Rolls Royce and Bentley cars almost up to the present day and ranging from large formal limousines to two-door open sports cars.

Medieval Village NEW for 2010

Step back in time, and come and experience life as it was in the year 1350. Walk through the tented village and watch the mercenaries prepare for battle, see how their arrows and armour's made and smell the food being prepared. Watch the Barber/Surgeon and his pet leech Archie operate on the wounded soldiers on the field of battle. You can also put on armour and try out some archery. 'This is living history with a difference' from the Freemen of Gwent.

Floral Marquee

Flowers and gardens go together, so it is only natural that Highnam Court Spring Fair is once again showcasing its Floral Art Competition.

The competition is aimed at individual flower arrangers, members of flower clubs and anyone else who simply likes to arrange flowers and want to try their luck.

The Floral Marquee is also the venue for demonstrations, at no extra cost, by national and local demonstrators from the National Association of Flower Arranging Societies, a gardeners' clinic, talks on garden maintenance by professional gardeners and stalls selling flower arranging accessories.

Shopping Mall

Featuring many craft, gift and garden related stalls. These include everything from plants to garden machinery, a wide range of bags, scarves, jewellery and homeware through to food, sweets and drinks.

The shopping experience is in three marquees as well as some outdoor displays.

Gloucestershire Stone Carving Festival

Following the great success of the Stone Carving Festival last year, Highnam Court Spring Fair 2010 will once again host a stone carving festival where up to 12 local carvers will be working over the two days to produce a design of their own choice. Judging will take place on Sunday afternoon, then all the work produced will be auctioned to raise funds for the charities.

The standard last year was extremely high, and 8 exquisite interpretations of a 'Green Man' were produced. This festival is a unique opportunity to bid for high quality work anfter watching it being created.

Catering & Refreshments

Refreshments will be available all day in the Terrace Café. Operated by NSPCC volunteers, with proceeds helping to support the work of the NSPCC in Gloucestershire. In 2010 it is being sponsored by Sainsbury's. Selections will include home-made cakes, ploughman's lunches, sandwiches, snacks and cream teas. A wide range of drinks will also be available.
