I have finally finished my Messier imaging project, please take a look at my Messier page.
I started off in astronomy with a 4.5 inch Newtonian from Celestron. I very soon got aperture fever and eventually decided to get an f/10 10" LX 200 from Meade. I messed about with a modified Quick Cam VC for a while, some of the images are here. I then took delivery of an ST-237 from SBIG, this is a very good entry level CCD. Then I got a Short Tube 80 refractor from Orion, Wanting a bigger chip CCD, I got a Starlight Express MX7-C "one shot" colour camera, most of my images after March 30th 2001 are taken with this camera.
My latest toy is a Stellarvue AT1010 this really good refractor, and at f/6 goives some really widefield views, this refractor has very little color (my latest image of M42 shows this).
Please adjust your monitor, you should see 17 gradients from black to white![]()
