"Understated Elegance" Bride

This bride was made for the 2001 National Barbie Doll Collector's Convention, Queen of the Prom, held in Dearborn, Michigan. She will be available at the Live Artist's Auction at the convention.

A beautiful bride in a princess cut gown dripping with over one thousand artificial pearls, beads and sequins. The gown is made out of high quality white bridal satin with a cut out hem decoration of white Venetian lace, hand beaded with round and rice shaped artificial pearls, along with the palest of pink sequins and glass beads. Her off the shoulder bodice features more Venetian lace and artificial pearls. She wears a pink and white crenoline under her gown as well as a pearl decorated Venetian lace garter. Matching pink and white hand painted shoes complete her undergarments. This bride's hair is fashioned in an elegant up-do, set off by a lace crown and white silk flowers in the back. Her unique veil also features white and pink silk flowers. For jewelry, she wears a simple, single-strand artificial pearl necklace and artificial pearl stud earrings. She also wears a "diamond" ring. Her boquet is made up of silk greenery, white silk flowers and pale pink paper rosebuds. Her eyes, lips and fingernails have been reapinted and sealed with high quality sealants. A stunning piece for the discerning collector.
