| Orion Nebula imaged with a Meade LX200 10" at F/4 with a 2X Barlow Lens in front of the CB 245 CCD Camera. I combined 8 10second exposures to create this image. As you can see, the 4 central stars called the Trapezium, are visible. The little spike on the top center star is caused by the CCD camera when it images a very bright star. This is called a bloom trail, and is usually found on images of this type. A little shorter exposure time usually stops it for the most part. |
