M8 Lagoon Nebula

This image of M8 is composed of thirteen 20 second exposures added together. This was taken on top of Table Mountain near Wrightwood on July 4th, 1997 with my Meade LX200 10" F/6.3 telescope and a CB245 CCD camera.

M8 (the Lagoon Nebula) is located in Sagittarius and is easily seen with the naked eye on a clear dark evening. Alsoin this image along with M8 is the Open Cluster NGC6530.
