M97
 
This image of M97 (The Owl Nebula) was taken in my backyard at or home in Coto de Caza on 2/27/98. This image is a single 10 minute self guided exposure taken with my Meade LX200 10" telescope at a focal ratio of F/6.3 using an SBIG ST8 ccd camera. This object is located up in the constellation of Ursa Major, also known as the "Big Dipper." It is sometimes referred to as the "Great Bear."
