"Nova Quest Observatory"

We've broken ground on the construction of the "Nova Quest Observatory" at Anza on January 4th, 1999. The photos shown here are the start of the foundation which will have cement poured into it on Jan 13th if the county inspections go well. This building will be 18 feet long in the north direction by 14 feet wide.

The work you see here is being done by "Burk Stewart's Construction." PO Box 391426, Anza Ca. 92539. Phone number (909) 763-0599. I can recommend him highly for doing very good work and at a honest price.

This photo is looking at what will be the side view of the observatory. On the right is where the control room will be located. The Control room will be an 8 feet, 4 inch by 14 feet wide, enclosed room with insulation and a sleeping area. The computers needed to run the observatory and for imaging will be located on desks which will be on the wall in the center of the building. A door will also be in the center wall for access to the scope area on the left. This area will have 2 scopes mounted in it on piers measuring 18 inches in diameter and 4 feet high from ground level. The base of each pier will be concrete slabs measuring 24 inches cubed. The two square holes you see on the left side are for the piers.
