Frank McDonald rushed for 152 yards and scored four touchdowns as the visiting Red Raiders remained undefeated with a lopsided victory over the winless Mountaineers last night in Holden. McDonald scored on runs of 6 (twice), 10 and 14 yards. His first two TDs, sandwiched around a 35-yard scoring scamper by Norman Cole, helped 8-0 Fitchburg -- the unanimous No. 1 team in the Telegram & Gazette Top 10 -- open up a 24-0 first-quarter lead. Cole had a big night, too, gaining 120 yards on nine carries and scoring twice. His other TD run was an 8-yarder. Red Raiders quarterback Jason Twomley gained 49 yards on six carries and tossed a pair of two-point conversion passes. Kevin Massey and Nate Miley scored for the 0-8 Mountaineers. Massey's was a 4-yard run, Miley's a 1-yarder. Fitchburg's first-team defense, while it played, allowed Wachusett 70 total yards and two first downs.
