Fitchburg High School Football to be LIVE again on television

Fitchburg Community Television and its crew of volunteers will broadcast LIVE on Fitchburg Channel 36 the home Fitchburg High School varsity football games of the year 2000 series. Luke Conry and Dave Svens will carry the play- by-play and color roles. FATV staff will support the technical aspects of the broadcast. Community volunteers will perform the camera, audio, graphics, and directing chores. CABLEVISION will provide the cable connection from Crocker Field. This is the fifth year that the FHS home games are being televised live on cable. Our estimated viewership for last year's Doyle Thanksgiving Day game against Leominster was 24,000. This year's home schedule is: Sept 8th St. Peter's Sept 15th Nashoba Sept 29th St. John's Oct 13th Xaverian Oct 20th North Middlesex Nov 10th Westboro Nov 23rd Leominster ---------------------------------------------- NOTICE TO ALL: GO TO THE GAMES! We on the broadcasting team wish to encourage everyone to attend the games in person. The football gate receipts are important to the FHS athletic department budget. We feel that broadcasting the games should be a win-win situation. We wish to nurture interest in the great community show of FHS football at Crocker Field and thereby encourage attendance. At the the same time we are happy to provide access for those who can not make the trip. One way for our audience (and everybody else for that matter) to show their appreciation for our efforts is to buy season tickets. This can be arranged by calling the FHS Athletic office, telephone number (978) 345-3245. Do it today (or at the latest tomorrow morning)! Ken Jones
