Creation Unit -- Spring 1999

Key Scripture: Genesis 1 & 2

This was our first formal unit with both of the older children participating. They learned a song about the 7 days of creation called God Said, "That's Good". We colored pictures to go along with what God created on each day of creation. We saw how days 1 through 3 were the creation of various parts of the environment and how days 4-6 were the filling of those various parts, parallelling days 1-3. We made posters showing this parallel using various types of materials.

The children presented the song and their posters at our church's end-of-year homeschool program.

We also baked a cake and decorated it for Day 4, showing the sun in the day and the moon and stars at night.
