Job title
Web author & publisher
Key responsibilities
I design, manage, and maintain the web pages for two related
groups: the Technical Marketing Engineering group and the
Performance and Design Verification Center in RTP, NC, USA. I
create and maintain all templates for their documentation, edit
the documents created by the group members and customers, convert
them to several formats, and put them on the groups' web pages
for ready access by the SEs and CEs who rely on the latest
information coming from our lab and think tank group. Once the
documents are on the web, I then convert them to yet another
format, so they can be put onto Cisco documentation CDs for
internal and customer use.

If enough people express interest, I may sell the mastiff stuff online via another page.

Some well-loved mastiff creations
My three adult mastiffs (plus a fourth one no longer with me) were born in England, and I imported them. Rufus (Farnaby Fearful Symmetry, CGC) was the first import ever to be a 5-star mastiff (an award devised by The Mastiff Reporter that is granted on receipt of evidence the dog has passed 5 or more critical health tests). Rufus was one of the first mastiffs to be 5-star rated, regardless of origin! At six, he still gets perfect ratings on heart (OFA) and eyes (CERF) and other annual tests.
For fellow North Carolinians, Rufus was NOT named for any NC official. He was named long before I moved to the Triangle, by a woman in England who named him for an ancient king of England. Luckily, my Rufus has a much better character than his historic namesake.
Pictures of the puppies shown individually, then some other shots. They have grown a lot since then!
(Of course, this is true if the pictures are even a week old....)
I have a few pictures of the pups' relatives; Woodrow is a CH and a Rufus son who is the father of my puppies, and Farfel is one of Rufie's TWO OFA Excellent sons; Shooter is so far Rufie's biggest son, 220 lbs at 2 years (with plenty of time left to grow....)
An older puppy picture, taken Easter Day (thanks for the noisy eggs,
Lynnie!); then if you want to see an individual in more detail, I
have two more, of the pup called The Heffalump, or "Lumpy" (this shows him standing, from the side.
Forgive the yaaawn, puppies are wizards at sleeping).
Rufus, Madame Bitch, and puppies (a friend's page dedicated to my new litter).
These pictures were taken the day the pups were 3 days old. Poor
Madame Bitch needed a brassierre. Black lace, to match her lovely
brindling. Rufus's page
in the online Mastiff Stud Dog Register, which I help maintain. I
draw the original portraits used on the covers of the hardcopy
issues of the Register, published four times a year. The Mastiff Club of America Breed FAQ,
which I helped write and edit. Electronic mail address Please send
me mail telling me what you
think about this page and how I might improve it.Back to
