INVITATION TO RACE

 

THE SOUTH BAY YACHT RACING ASSOCIATION’S

2002 SUMMER RACES

 

ELIGIBILITY:           All yachts with a valid PHRF rating.  There must be a certificate for either your boat or an identical sister ship.

STARTING TIMES & DIVISIONS:   

 

There will be two spinnaker, and two non-spinnaker divisions, defined by phrf rating.
There will be 2 to 4 starts for all four divisions, depending on the quantity of boats turned out for the races.
The first start will be set for noon on the day  of each race.

 

One-Design and/ or Multihull divisions may be available if 5 or more boats.

Boats will be assigned to divisions after registration

 

NOTICE:        The following will be mailed to all participants: Division Assignments, Course Sheets,

                         Standing Race Instructions, Race Results, Date or Starting Time Changes            .

 

AWARDS:      Trophies will be awarded for first, second and third place overall winners, allowing for two

                         throwouts. Participation awards may be given for starting 4 races or more.

                         Scoring will use Time on Time method.

FEES:             $35 Entrance fee for all 7 summer races.

                                                           

REGISTRATION:  Complete the form & send with a check to SBYRA before March 31, 2001.
