Sunday, we headed over to Lost World Caverns. It's a beauiful cave that's well-lit with a very nice tourist trail. There's now a big tunnel in from the gift shop, but we rigged ropes down from the only natural entrance which is a hole at the top of the hill that's 120' from the floor of the cave. (The rigging team headed up through the snow to rig the drop. The rest of us went on in the cave through the gift shop and tunnel and waited in the relative warmth of the cave and out of the wind for the ropes to be lowered.) There's a wooden platform under the drop that made it very easy to get on and off rope at the bottom. I got in 2 climbs and 2 rappels. It was very cool.
The drive home entailed a couple hours of snow storm.
