L. and I got out for a caving trip this past weekend. I was surprised when I looked back at my logs that the only time I got underground in 2007 was a weekend in mid-February, and before that it was July, 2006. Sheesh. Anyway, it was good to get back underground.
We had planned to leave around 5pm and got on the road right at 6pm. We drove up to Marion Friday night, stopping at El Torrero for a relatively quick and relatively good Mexican dinner. Got up to Tanya's house just before 10pm. L. went off to another room to finish work she needed to do while Tanya, Ken, Dave, and I stayed up talking until after midnight. There were originally supposed to be other people showing up to help survey, but they bailed out so it was just going to be the four of us. (Tanya didn't join us. The cave is a bit too rigorous for her.) Since we didn't have to meet anyone in the morning, we slept in until after 8am then headed to the Appletree for a hot breakfast. We got to the cave around 10:30am, and after sorting a bit of gear, changing, and packing our cave packs, we entered the cave around 11am.
TBD.
