Camping at Blue Valley, just south of Highlands, NC.
Drove out Friday morning, getting to the parking lot at Whiteside Mountain around noon. Was on rope Friday afternoon and Saturday. Didn't get on rope Sunday before heading home because of the rain overnight Saturday.
Three 700' rappels, one on a weighted rope with a pack.
Two 700' tandem ascends on rope walker system:
one with Lisa below me and the other with Bruce above me.
Took about 50 minutes total with about 35 minutes to get to the edge then
another 15 to change-over and climb the last less-than-vertical section to the
top.
