Mountain Biking Info

I started mountain biking back in the spring of 1992 when I was living out in Provo, Utah. It was spring, and I was debating whether to buy a snowboard or a mountain bike. Since ski season was coming to an end, I decided to go with the mountain bike. It was a Giant Sedona (CroMo, no suspension, cool paint job) that a local shop had on sale. I had that bike for 7 years and put quite a few miles -- and crashes -- on it.

In May, 1998, I bought a used (and somewhat abused) Univega 950DS full-suspension bike from a co-worker. Armed with that bike, I got a little more serious about riding. I also crashed more and picked up a few more injuries. :( I beat that bike and myself pretty hard, but learned a lot.
