A milestone we all hope we will never reach
The number of US military deaths in Iraq is approaching 2000.
We sincerely hope the day will never come when that number is reached.
However, if it does, we will be ready to honor the fallen with a candlelight vigil.
A diverse group of South Bay peace activists are organizing now so that we can be
ready to mobilize on short notice.
We intend to demonstrate to our government that this country’s pro-peace
majority wants Congress to stop the deaths by stopping the dollars that
are funding the war. Come and join us!

The plan is to silently stand with candlelights on both sides of the
Alameda overpass over I-880. Because of limited space on the sidewalks,
the overflow will be 4 blocks away at the Park Ave overpass. See
map.
