Election Eve Candlelight Vigil
Dear Friends,
You are invited to be part of "Lighting a Path for Democracy", an Election Eve Candlelight Vigil,
on Monday, November 1st at 7:00 pm in San Jose, CA. We will be joining with hundreds of other
Candle Light Vigils across the United States. We will meet at
San Jose Friends Meeting House,
1041 Morse Street, San Jose at 6:45 and then walk to the I-880/The Alameda overpass
to begin at 7:00.
The vigil will be approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. Please park in the parking lot across the street
from the Meeting House. Since this is a last minute effort - please forward this email on to everyone!
This is to be a silent vigil.
We will hold our nation in the light to show that democracy matters.
To call for clean elections.
To remember the things we care about - peace, justice and democracy.
This is a nonpartisan effort sponsored by American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) and
endorsed by National Council of Churches, United for Peace and Justice, Unitarian Universalist Association,
and others.
Please bring candles and your thoughts for peace, justice, and a fair election.
