Directions
to the temple
Directions to Temple: The ride is between 7-8 minutes. I recommend that if you are dressing here,
leave the building at 11:50am. If you are dressing in the men's locker room
there, you should leave here at 11:45. This will allow us to start games at
noontime. Once we have 6 people, we are going to start up right away.
- MAP
- Take 129 towards Chelmsford center. When you come to the
blinking yellow light, take a RIGHT onto Golden Cove Rd. Follow that until
you get to the next light. There's a way to go straight here, but for now,
turn right onto Rte 110. Follow straight under Rte 3, then past the Wang
Towers. At that next light (intersection of the Wang Towers and the 99),
take a left turn. Follow that past two lights. After the 2nd light, there
is a STOP sign at the next intersection. Go straight through the STOP sign,
but note the Temple on your left. Take the next left and then an immediate
left into the parking lot for the Temple.
- For anyone coming directly from the highway, its quicker to take the Lowell
Connector to the Industrial Ave exit (first one). At the end of the ramp,
take a right. At the rotary, take your 2nd turn off which brings you
alongside of the Wang Towers (which will be on your right). At the first
light, the 99 is on your left. Go straight through this light. Now you've
merged with the other directions If you're heading on Rte 3 North, its
even more quicker to get off at the 110 exit (after 495), and take a left at
the end of the ramp.
Other Info
Other Info for the temple
- There is an entrance way with 2-3 doors at this corner of the facility. Use
the lefthand door; the others will probably be locked. If you are the
first to arrive, the door may be locked, so ring the buzz. When someone
answers (probably Marcy), tell her that you are here to play basketball, and
she will come down and let you in. There should be a wood wedge to prop the
door open for others who follow. The gym is straight ahead. Go into the
gym and if you need to change, go to the back left area and enter there. By
that locker entrance is the fuse box. The first person in the gym should
also turn the lights on.
- The floors also get dusty. There is a dry mop along the sides of the walls.
The task of cleaning the floor is one we should all be willing to pertake in.
