Weapons


 

There are many different types of weapons in the Lands. The three main types of weapons are cutting, piercing, and smashing. Monsters will always be more vulnerable to one than the others.

Cutting - swords and axes

Piercing - daggers and rapiers

Smashing - hammers and mauls
 
 
 

Armor


 

There aren't really any surprises when it comes to armor. All of it is pretty standard.

Body - leather, chain, and plate mails

Shields - wood and metal

Helmets, Boots, and Bracers - worn for extra protection
 
 
 

Items


 

Items can be found throughout the Lands to help you on your journey. These include:

Aloe, Ginsing, and Salves - all healing items

Rings - rings can be worn on the hand and usually give the wearer special powers, e.g. the Bezel Ring protects the person from poison

Staves and Wands - magical in origin, staves or wands can cast a certain spell until their charge runs out, e.g. the Fireball Wand casts Fireball

Keys - Each key you find will unlock one specific door, usually in the same area

Lockpicks - they do just that... pick locks

Vaelan's Cube - can absorb and discharge magic, usefull in fighting magic creatures or destroying magic barriers

Elixir ingredients - the four ingredients needed to make the Elixir of Tybal used to save the king
 
 
 

Magic


 

Magic is fairly simple. Once you find a scroll with a magic spell on it, just click and it is added to your spell list. That's it! Each spell that you have available has four different levels, one (1) being the weakest and four (4) being the most powerful. The more powerful the spell, the more magic points it uses. The spells are:
 
 
 

Heal- heals a character(s)

Spark- shoots out a small spark

Freeze- freezes all targets, also good for freezing quicksand in the swamps

Fireball- unleashes a small ball of fire at level 1 up to three large fireballs at level 4

Lightning- shoots a powerful lightning bolt

Mist of Doom- calls upon the dead ancestors of the caster to destroy his enemies

Hand of Fate- creates a large magical hand to harm or protect
