Triangle Ascension

Background

Mage is a role-playing game set in White Wolf's World of Darkness. The World of Darkness is a world not unlike our own, but things are different -- darker. The shadow lurking in the corner may actually be a vampire; the New World Order really does control the world's governments; werewolves and the fey walk among us. And sometimes, things which should stay dead, don't. It is a world where all of your night-fears have come to life.

In this world, mages are a small part of the population that have realized that reality is not static - if one is careful, it is possible to change the laws of nature in a small, localized manner. If a ball is dropped, it will fall due to gravity - or will it? A broken leg takes months to heal, right? Maybe not. These small changes can appear to be magic to the uninitiated. Bending reality is not without risk, though - sometimes reality bites back in ways that can spell disaster for a mage.

Triangle Ascension takes place in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina, USA - Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. With a few exceptions, the places mentioned in this chronicle actually exist. Well, except for that whole thing about Chapter 2, but you'll have to read that yourself.

On this website, you will find ongoing plot summaries, updated approximately every week, as well as character backgrounds and point-of-view diaries. Since our storyteller, Rob, bribes rewards background fiction and diaries with experience points, you will find a substantial number of these.

...And a note from Rob: all of these pages are from the point of view of the characters. I'm not about to give away my secrets here...
