Reflections
Great Gaia, I don't know where to begin. I am overjoyed. "Granddad" came this morning. He gave me a stone, like amethyst with silver flakes in it. As soon as I touched it, it bit into my soul. But it was good. I felt sure that this was a fetish that would allow him to know the truth of my words, and the honor of my heart. If he is not a philodox, I do not know what auspice he is of, for I felt to be in the presence of a great judge. I felt as a pup again, when the alpha would visit. So regal, yet silent. He was indeed a lupus who new his role, his mission, and his place. I know him not, not even from what tribe he hails, but I respect him. He is an honored elder. Him, I will serve. After he left, I had the most uncanny revelation. For a lupus, I talk like a homid. I should be more brief. But listen to me, still babbling on. Ha, isn't life... amazing.
I must build on this. After he heard my wish, he asked to see Mary, gave her his staff, almost surely another fetish, and said that he would tell them. I can only assume that he was referring to the other local Garou. If that is so, then it is more than I could have hoped for this quickly. It just means that I truly have your love, Mother Gaia. I must remember to thank Raoul properly when he returns. The Corax did not suffer as the other changing breeds did in the Wars of Rage, but that does not mean that his service is not above the call of our races alliances. He is a true friend. I look forward to the day when I have pups of my own. Then I will give him the gift of the Wolf to the Raven. Pups to play with, instruct, and tease. Beyond his distant facade, I know that tradition calls to him as much as it does to I. We must all obey the laws of our Mother.
To do so, I must help Renee as well. Her sisters are, I fear, in danger - if not already corrupted - the Wyrm. The Others would probably destroy them to remove the taint. But if I can help Renee cleans them, then they could be powerful allies. To draw the factions of our peoples together could be the greatest weapon against the Apocalypse. One thing troubles me, they did not appear in the Umbra. Awakened creatures in my range of perception always do. I must know why, and also why the banes attacked my as they did. It was not usual.
I still have many question, and too few answers. But now I have a direction, and a new sense of hope. Thank you Mother.
