I love irony as much as the next person, hence the title…

So, rigamortus is when the body stiffens and locks into place after death. But when you are alive, its the brain and the heart that can fall under rigamortus (rigacerebral and rigaheartus?).

The question is, once you go into a rigamortus in your life, can you come out?

I remember this from very long ago….

My cousin was about 4 or 5 years old. We were walking in a strip mall (or a strip mall version of an area) in a crowded area of the town and he saw a sign on a store that (loosely translated) said..”We don’t have any branches”. He turned to his mom and said, “Mom, can we shop at that store? That poor store does not have any branches, so we should buy whatever we want from them and help them”.

It was the cutest thought. Simple in its understanding and interpretation.

What made me remember it recently was when I was driving past a store that was “Going Out of Business”. And I realized, that every time I see a sign like that, I feel a small hint of sadness subconsciously and I cannot explain why.

I want to go back to when I was 2. That was a time when I could spill milk and enjoy it. Did not want the floor cleaned after it.Things were fun, because I did not “want” things.

The catch (22?) is that now, I want that not-wanting. Just a thought…

There is a concept in software programming called recursion. As wikipedia would explain it….”Recursion, in mathematics and computer science, is a method of defining functions in which the function being defined is applied within its own definition.

The concept of content versus happiness is probably a subject of immense discussion, thought and writing. But I have a recursive definition for it:

You are happy when you think about your own happiness. Content is when you think about the happiness of others/somebody else.

I hate (its really more a ’strong dislike’ rather than ‘hate’) people who are either, morons, senseless, stupid or wrong.

What is worse than a moron… armed moron.

What is worse than a senseless follower….a senseless leader.

What is worse than a stupid student….a stupid teacher.

And, what is worse than someone who is wrong….is when she thinks she is right.

Having to deal with any of these people is a challenge. Unfortuantely, I have had to with three out of the four.
