Websites, concepts and ideas that I find interesting.

Explore - This is a beautiful website, a collection of documentaries, short films and photographs (some really wonderful pictures) that showcases non-profit efforts around the world.

Ubuntu - “Humanity towards others”. The power of free and open software provided by brilliant contributors to make it useful and fun.

Kiva - As their caption says “Loans that change lives”. A brilliant and simple concept connecting decent people with means to decent people with needs. Micro-lending for the masses. I am a member and yes I loan.

World saving tips for the busy and the lazy - The title says it all. I just wish she would write more.

VolunTourism - I think the idea is good and maybe soon I will be able to try it out. Travel and Volunteer at the same time.

Volunteer Match - A really good place to search for volunteer opportunities in your area, in your community and in your field of interest.

Taproot Foundation - Do it Pro Bono! I like the concept, and I am actively involved.

Habitat for Humanity - Everybody who is able should should have no reason not to be involved locally.

A Single Light - In its simplest form, it is a database of ‘cancer related resources’. I met with the founder, spoke to him about his thoughts, his ideas and wishes and plan to contribute my time and services.

iMedix - Its a very fast growing startup (commercial). Community for health information/resources with people helping each other.

Addictomatic - A horizontal? search engine. It shows your search links at pop-over urls. Seems to be nicely done.
