History of the Babes: The first Babes Bookin It team was created in the fall of 2005. 35 babes ran/walked the Tufts 10k race in Boston and raised over $7,000 for First Book and Boston Adult Literacy Fund. In 2006, Sarah added 3 more races to the Babes Bookin It calendar of events - the James Joyce Ramble 10k in Dedham (April), the Falmouth Road Race (August), and the Half-Marathon of the Palm Beaches (December).
Group Runs - You can join Sarah and the babes on Tuesday mornings in the Wellesley area and on Thursday nights around the Charles River in Boston. Lively, engaging and intellectual dialogue about the latest and greatest books is guaranteed at all of our workouts. Please contact Sarah if you would like to coordinate a Babes group run in your community.

Host a Babes Book Swap Event: Keep the word "fun in your fundraising and consider hosting a Book Swap in your home. Serve wine and cheese in the evening, or coffee and muffins in the morning. Ask guests to bring a book that they have recently enjoyed, yet can also bear to part with, along with a donation to BALF/First Book. It’s a great way to share interesting titles with friends, catch up on girl talk, and support a wonderful cause.
