	Erdinger Dunkel Weißbräu	Germany	5.6		A dark beer but really refreshing and full of flavour. www.erdinger.com Please try this beer no matter how much it costs in your country - it is perhaps one of the best beers in the world in my humble opinion. Full of chocolate, nutty, hops, malts taste - superb. It is on a standing with the best ales from Belgium including such greats as Chimay, Westmalle, Orval, etc. Also if you find yourself in Erding go on the brewery tour it is most imformative.

	Schneider Weisse - Edel-Weisse	Germany	6.2	Nil	Yea gads. This is the worst beer I have ever tasted and I suspect it must have gone off but there is no use by date on the label. I had to pour about 80% of it down the drain.

	Schofferhofer Weizen	Germany	5.1		After pouring this beer through a tea strainer to get rid of the large lumps of yeast it was quite good. But I'm sorry those lumps, and I mean "lumps" tended to detract from the beer.

	Franziskaner Weissbier Dunkel	Germany	5.0		A good beer from one of the homes of brewing fine ales. A dark tasty wheat beer but nothing compared with Erdinger Dunkel.
	Straubinger Weisse Original	Germany	5.3		Quite malty for a weissbier but pleasant.
	Prinzregent Luitpold Weissbier	Germany	5.5		Quite a light tasting but good weissbier.
	Konig Ludwig Weissbier	Germany	5.5		Know wonder King Ludwig went mad if this was the best they could provide him with.
	Kostrizer Oktoberfest Beer	Germany	5.6		Probably one of the most boring, insipient ales ever tasted.
	Eittinger Urtyp Dunkel	Germany	5.4		A great German dunkel - excellent but not quite as good as Erdinger Dunkel.

	Weihenstephaner Kristall Weissbier	Germany	5.4		An average beer. Quite pleasant at lunchtime but with no real flavours to get excited about.
	Weihenstephaner Pilsner	Germany	5.1		Pilsner it is not. I could taste no hops and this beer was really bland some Saaz would not go amiss.
	Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier Dunkel	Germany	5.1		A pleasant tasting dark ale but not up to Erdinger Dunkel Weißbräu standards.
	Weihenstephaner Tradition Bayerisch Dunkel	Germany	5.2		Not really a Dunkel in my opinion - it is more of a nut brown ale in colour and is lacking in depth. I bought it hoping I had found a cheaper version of Erdinger Dunkel and I got exactly what I bought - a cheaper version with none of the intense flavours.
	Weihenstephan Hefe Weissbier	Germany	5.4		Good wheat beer, perhaps better because I had it on tap. Nice fruit aromas and hop balance.
	Radeberger Pilsner	Germany	4.8		A pleasant Pilsner - quite drinkable.
	Hansa	Germany	4.8		A decent beer but not really up to Germany's excellent standards.
	Hacker-Pschorr Steenweisse	Germany	5.5		This could do with more hops, but isn't too shabby. Don't expect anything great though.
	Hacker-Pschorr Munchner Kellerbier	Germany	5.5		Quite a pleasant beer but nothing really compared to other great German beers.
	Hacker-Pschorr Animator Doppelbock	Germany	8.1		Great balanced beer, good aromas and pleasant reddy, copper colour. Quite pleasant.

How civilised are these Bavarian villages? This is in Eitting where my mates live. Every Friday the beer truck comes around and delivers your requirements for the week. This idea should be introduced worldwide.
